01 / The basics

What is ADHD coaching?

ADHD coaching is practical, forward-looking support built around how an ADHD brain actually works - not how textbooks say it should. Instead of focusing on what is wrong, a coach helps you build routines, systems and strategies that fit the way you think.

People come to ADHD coaching for help with focus, time management, organisation, emotional regulation, study and exam pressure, work performance, and the burnout that comes from years of masking. Parents often come looking for someone who can help their child - and give the whole family strategies that work at home and at school.

At NeuCare, most of our ADHD practitioners are neurodivergent themselves. They coach from lived experience, which is why sessions feel like being understood rather than assessed.

05 / Questions

Common questions

Do I need a diagnosis to work with an ADHD coach?

No. Many people start coaching while waiting for an assessment, or without pursuing a diagnosis at all. Coaching is about practical support for the challenges you are facing, not about labels.

How is ADHD coaching different from therapy?

Coaching is practical and forward-looking - routines, systems, strategies and accountability. Therapy tends to work more deeply on emotional processing and mental health. Many people benefit from both at different times, and we can help you work out which fits right now.

How much does ADHD coaching cost?

One-off sessions with NeuCare practitioners start from £30 plus a 15% booking fee. Monthly care plans start from £99 and work out cheaper per session. You see exact prices for each practitioner before you book anything.

Are sessions online or in person?

Both. Most practitioners offer online sessions anywhere in the UK, and some offer in-person sessions near where they are based. You can tell us your preference during matching.

Can schools book ADHD coaching for students?

Yes. Schools and trusts book ADHD coaching and mentoring for students through NeuCare, with sessions logged against IEP and PSP targets and spend evidenced for governors. See our schools page or get in touch.
