What does autism support look like at NeuCare?
Good autism support is not about making someone less autistic. It is about understanding how a person experiences the world - sensory load, communication, routine, demand avoidance, energy - and building practical strategies around that, at home, at school and at work.
Our practitioners work with autistic young people on confidence, friendships, school refusal and transitions, and with autistic adults on work, study, relationships and burnout. Parents get someone in their corner too - help understanding what is going on for their child and strategies that keep home and school joined up.
Most of our practitioners are neurodivergent themselves. Sessions are affirming, paced around the person, and never deficit-based.

Common questions
Does my child need a diagnosis to get support?
No. Many families start while on an assessment waiting list. Support is shaped around what your child needs day to day, not around a label.
What does 'neurodiversity-affirming' actually mean?
It means we do not treat autism as something to fix. Practitioners start from the person's strengths and sensory and communication needs, and build strategies around them - rather than training them to appear less autistic.
How much does autism support cost?
One-off sessions with NeuCare practitioners start from £30 plus a 15% booking fee. Monthly care plans start from £99 and work out cheaper per session. You see exact prices for each practitioner before you book.
Can sessions happen online?
Yes. Most practitioners offer online sessions anywhere in the UK, and some offer in-person sessions near where they are based. Online often works well for autistic people who find new environments demanding.
Can schools book autism support for students?
Yes. Schools and trusts book mentoring and specialist support for autistic students through NeuCare, with sessions logged against IEP and PSP targets and spend evidenced for governors. See our schools page or get in touch.
